Your Chattanooga Spray Foam Team for 17 Years

If your upstairs bakes in summer, your floors feel damp, or your power bill keeps climbing, it usually comes down to one thing: air and moisture slipping past insulation that was never built to stop them. We fix it at the source. For 17 years, Foametix has sprayed open-cell and closed-cell foam across the Chattanooga area. We are veteran-owned, with the same crew on every job and no subcontractors. We seal attics, encapsulate crawl spaces, insulate walls and metal buildings, and handle new construction, and every job starts with a free on-site evaluation and a written price before we touch anything. The result is a home that finally holds its temperature, an HVAC that stops running nonstop, and a lower bill every month.

Where would you like spray foam installed?

What spray foam actually does to a Chattanooga house

Most homes around here don't lose energy through the walls. They lose it through gaps: around the top plate, through can lights, up the chimney chase, and out of a vented crawl space that breathes damp air under your floor all summer.

Batt insulation slows heat moving through a surface. It does not stop air moving through a hole. That is the difference, and in a climate like ours it is most of the problem. Chattanooga gives you humid summers in the 90s, a winter that swings 30 degrees in a day, and crawl spaces sitting over damp ground eleven months a year.

Spray foam expands as it goes on and seals the building envelope. One material does the air barrier and the insulation at the same time. That is why a foamed attic feels different the same afternoon: the HVAC stops fighting outside air it was never sealed against.

Open-cell or closed-cell: which one your job needs

Both are good foam. They do different jobs, and any contractor who only ever installs one is selling you what is on the truck.

Closed-cell is dense, roughly R-6 to R-7 per inch. It blocks moisture, adds rigidity, and at the thicknesses used on a building it is its own vapor retarder. It belongs under a metal roof, in a crawl space, and anywhere moisture is the enemy.

Open-cell is lighter and more affordable, around R-3.5 per inch. It is an excellent air seal and the right call for attics and interior walls where moisture is not the concern, and it is noticeably better at deadening sound between rooms.

We install both. We spec it at the inspection based on the space, not on what we would rather sell you. If someone quotes you a foam type before they have looked at the building, that is a quote for their convenience, not your house.

What our customers say

Foametix did a fantastic job, removing all old insulation and installing new spray foam insulation! Main attic space with air handler is at thermostat temp of 73deg and HVAC has run on average 3-4 hours less per day, on these late July sweltering days, since new spray foam insulation. This is way above my expectations! Thanks Ben, Jimmy and Austin, Great Job! - Chris Gross, July 2026

Steven and his guys have done multiple jobs for us and always do great work. We have recommended them to friends and never had a complaint. - Matthew H., July 2026

Sprayed insulation around interior walls and attic. Super clean job, no messy floors or driveway. Professional crew. Great job! - Arvind Naik, July 2026

What we insulate

Attics- where most Chattanooga homes lose the most energy. Sealing at the roofline brings the attic inside the envelope and takes the load off ductwork sitting in 140-degree air.

Crawl spaces- full encapsulation, sealed well enough that no dehumidifier is required. Stops the damp, the musty smell and the cold floors above it.

Metal buildings and pole barns- closed-cell sprayed directly to the panel so there is no gap for condensation to form in.

We also handle wall insulation, new construction, commercial buildings, insulation removal and cool roofs.
